The sand is fine and the entry into the water is shallow. For families with small children that is usually the deciding factor, because along parts of the Turkish Riviera the seabed drops away more steeply or turns to shingle. Loungers and parasols are set out along the beach.

A property rated with 5 stars in Turkey is therefore not automatically equivalent to one rated the same in the United Kingdom or the United States. Sunrise Queen · hotel archiveThe pool area is the centre of the resort: a wide outdoor pool set among palms, an aquapark with water slides, and a separate children's pool at a safe depth. The wellness floor adds a heated indoor pool, which keeps swimming possible outside the hottest months.

It is worth asking any resort whether its wellness floor is actually running, since not every property opens every department in every season. To be straight with you: the spa and the a la carte restaurants are currently being brought back into service in stages and are not continuously available. We deliberately give no date while we cannot commit to one. Please ask us for the current position before you book — we will answer in writing.

Our main restaurant serves an open buffet of Turkish and international cooking through the day, and there are bars across the grounds. The a la carte restaurants are currently being brought back into service in stages, so please do not count on them for your stay without checking the position with us first.
Before booking — with us or with anyone else — get four points in writing. Which meals and drinks are included? Are the a la carte restaurants covered, and how many times per stay? Is a reservation required? Is there a late service for guests arriving on an evening flight?

On timing: the swimming season along the Turkish Riviera is long. Midsummer is hot and dry, while early summer and early autumn bring milder air with the sea still warm — usually the better choice if you want to combine sightseeing with the beach. If your plan is simply to lie on the sand, midsummer suits you.
Finally, ask for these six items in writing before you pay: arrival and departure dates, the exact room category, the number of guests including children's ages, the scope of the board, the deposit and cancellation terms, and whether any area of the property is closed. Those six lines prevent almost every dispute that arises later.
